Mondia Moonlander Automatic Day Date
£329.99
A fine example, this Mondia Moonlander watch is a real statement piece with its large case and attractive dial design.
Mondia was a sub-brand of Zenith and still exists today in a different form.
The piece dates from the early 1970s and comes from a time of space-age obsession, and who can get more space-age than the name “Moonlander” – Mondia also produced other watches such as the “Sunstar” “Skystar” and “Moonstone”
The automatic movement has a convenient quick-set function for the date, this can be set by pressing in the crown. The day is altered by setting the time to midnight.
A small piece of damage exists on the case reverse at around the 10 O Clock position with some loss of plating, but this is honestly not that noticeable unless you begin to look for wear on the piece. It remains a superb example of a watch that is 50+ years old.
