Hamilton 1960s 60001-3 Cal 60 Sweep Seconds Steel
£249.99
A vintage 1960s Hamilton watch ref 60001-3 powered by the cal 60 movement.
This watch is a lovely piece with a uniquely coloured dial which I believe would have been more of a silver colour originally, but has changed over time to more of a gold-cream like colour which has uniformed over the surface of the dial. There is a slightly noticeable colour difference just around the markers where more of the original dial colour seems to be visible.
Holding the piece up to the light at various angles really shows off the Hamilton emblem, hands and dial markers which reflect a silver colour that matches that of the case.
Case back is a screw down and is stamped Shock Protected, Water Protected, Stainless Steel, Antimagnetic and the ref number 60001-3 (which I can find very little evidence of online)
Small scratches and marks on the case, crystal looks clean, the case back in particular has some deeper scratches caused by a mis-handled case back opener at some point.
I am unsure if this would have come with an original signed Hamilton crown or not, but the one present is unsigned and chrome plated with wear to the plating.
A stunning unique looking piece.
