Fridlander, London, Chronometer Maker Pocket Watch Movement
Movement is nice quality, retailed by Fridlander in London.
The piece came from a jewellers collection and some research shows it was part of an 18ct case which has devastatingly being scrapped… The case was marked for 1899 so the movement is from around then.
It is not working, will wind up and it ticks for a few seconds but is stopping. Balance is good and swings freely but seems to have a stiffness to it.
Dial has no cracks or chips, just slight marks.
Measures 41.3mm across the dial and 39mm on the reverse.
